Cleaner Production in Industries , Advanced oxidation technologies for treatment of industrial effluents
Dr. Jayesh Ruparelia working as Professor of Chemical Engineering Department. He obtained his BE degree from DDIT, Nadiad in the year 1997. Dr Ruparelia obtained MTech degree and PhD degree from IIT Bombay in the year 2004 and 2009, respectively. He has an experience of 23 years in the fields of Teaching, Research and Industry. He has published and presented many papers in international referred journals and international conferences/proceedings. Dr Ruparelia received prestigious ‘National Doctoral Fellowship’ to pursue his doctoral research work at IIT Bombay in the field of nanotechnology. He was awarded research funding in the field of ‘Effects of Electrode Materials in the Electrochemical Process’ under prestigious Yong Scientist Research scheme from Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India in the year 2010. He is recipient of best M Tech Thesis guidance ISTE IPCL national award second prize for 2017 and first prize 2018. Dr Ruparelia was also awarded with Best Engineering College Teacher (Gujarat State) for the year 2019 by Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). Dr. Ruparelia is reviewer of international referred journals in the field of chemical and environmental engineering. He is actively involved in consultancy, research and testing in the area of chemical and environmental engineering. His research interests include industrial effluent treatment, nanotechnology and issues related to environment.
Dr Ruparelia is member of Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC) constituted by Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), New Delhi for Environmental Impact Assessment of projects requiring Environmental Clearance.
