Dr Richa Mishra is a Sr. Assistant professor of English, and also working as the Head of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. She is Chairperson of the Humanities and Social Science Board of Studies under Faculty of Technology and Engineering, Nirma University. She has received PhD degree for her work on comparative studies of women confessional poets from Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur. She is heading a research group working on Digital Humanities intersecting Gender, Language and Digital space. Her interest areas include Language, Gender studies and Higher Order Thinking Skills.
She is known for her insightful, participative workshops on Critical Thinking and Design Thinking. She has conducted workshops across India and globally. Dr Mishra is visiting faculty in Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Boston for the course Critical Thinking for Maritime Industry.
She is TEDx Speaker 2017 and one of the Mentor of Change under Atal Innovation Mission. She is recognized as Content Guru and Distinguished Facilitator for gamifying education twice by Infosys for her designing of the course Critical Thinking in the years 2015 and 2017. She is the author of five books which include Introduction to Critical Thinking and Textbook for English and Communication Skills. She is also the recipient of the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute Grant for the year 2015-16 and was a visiting scholar at Memorial University, Canada. She is a Master Trainer for IELTS from the British Council and she is also a recognised level three trainer from Gujarat Knowledge Society. She is a reviewer of Sage and JEET journals. Dr Mishra is also a member of the Board of Studies, Joint Board of Studies and was a member of the Faculty of Technology and Engineering (FoTE). She is a member of the IQAC committee for the Institute of Technology, Nirma University.
