Ragging constitutes one or more of any of the following acts:
Depending upon the nature and gravity of the offence as established by the Anti-Ragging Committee of the institution, the possible punishments for those found guilty of ragging at the institution level shall be any one or any combination of the following punitive actions:
UGC Regulations require all (continuing & new) students to submit an online Anti-Ragging Affidavit at the beginning of every academic year. This is a mandatory requirement.
Please read the instructions given (A) & (B) below very carefully before filling the Affidavit. If you have any questions, please contact Student Section, Institute of Technology, Nirma University.
Once you have read these documents, you must go to the website: http://antiragging.in/ OR http://www.amanmovement.org click on the tab “Online Undertaking (Affidavit)”. Please fill up the affidavit with correct and latest information.
After filling the form, you will receive the Student’s Anti Ragging Affidavit and the Parents Anti Ragging Affidavit in your e-mail. Print both the Affidavits, sign them yourself, and request your parents to sign their Affidavit. You are requested to submit your signed affidavits in the department.

In addition, in case of every single incident of ragging, a First Information Report (FIR) will be filed with the local police authorities. The possible punishment includes rigorous imprisonment (in compliance with the order of Supreme Court of India)
