Abstract: To develop a prototype of an autonomous small size car exploiting Kinect sensor. This sensor is yet an unexplored technology in the field of autonomous driving. As of now Google self-driving cars are using LiDAR whereas Tesla is solely depended on cameras for navigating the motion of the car. So as to develop an algorithm to detect humans, other automobiles, signals and sign boards. Accordingly we will develop an algorithm to take action autonomously on dc motors and servos to change the motion of car. So exploring this new technology which involves giving control of car to machine will help to ease the human effort in driving, by building prototype of self-driving car.
