The project involves fabrication of an IGBT based three phase Z-Source Converter used for variable load application. The scope of the project will also involve implementation of various controlling scheme to operate the converter in various modes of operation. The implementation of the controlling scheme will be done on an advanced controller or processor. The project scope will also involve designing of auxiliary circuits like driver circuits, PWM generation circuits, sensor circuits etc. The project will basically help in creation of a hardware module of a multifunctional converter for it to be used as laboratory practical based hardware in various courses of Power Electronics and Electrical Drives at UG as well as PG level. The application domain for the project will be in Electric Vehicles, HVDC System, Electrical Drives, Power Quality Improvement and Static Excitation System to name a few.
