We have promised the society and the nation to be their cornerstone. We believe that we need to pour our vision, dedication, passion to young aspiring engineers, not only of our university but also of neighbouring areas. The tech-fest aptly named ‘PRAVEG’19 – Annual Techno-management Fest’ was organized with this aim by the Mechanical Engineering Students’ Association (MESA) under the aegis of Mechanical Engineering Department, School of Engineering, Institute of Technology, Nirma University on 18-19 September 2019. The grand event was inaugurated by Shri Acharya Devvrat, Hon. Governorshri of Gujarat and Commodore C Raghuram VSM, Commanding Officer, INS Valsura in the august presence of Dr Karsanbhai Patel, President Nirma University. The inauguration ceremony was also graced by Shri K K Patel, Vice President, Nirma University; Dr Anup Singh, Director General, Nirma University; Dr Alka Mahajan, Director Institute of Technology; Dr R N Patel, Additional Director School of Engineering and Dr Vikas Lakhera, Head Mechanical Engineering Department.
Indian Navy and National Security Guards have set up an exhibition of their weapons and models to explain the technology and working of forces to the young engineers. Many students have visited the exhibition and gained detail understanding about how the defence forces work for the security.
