Institute of Technology, Nirma University (IT-NU) celebrated its 28th Foundation Day on October 3, 2022. It was the day to remember, cherish, recognize and reward the achievers. The illustrious 27 years has seen IT-NU contributing to society by giving ethical engineers and research insights. IT-NU celebrated it with aplomb in the august presence of Dr. Kannan Srinivasan, Director, CSIR-CSMCRI. The ceremony was also graced by the presence of Dr Anup Singh, Director General, Nirma University and Dr R N Patel, Director, Institute of Technology.
Ten members were honored for giving service to Nirma for the last 25 years. Seventeen meritorious students were felicitated with gold and silver medals. Twenty-Seven faculty members, one staff member and one hundred sixty-eight students were felicitated on this occasion for their achievement.
Different teams that brought laurels to the University at various National and International competitions were also felicitated on this occasion.

The day also had events organized by various student associations. The Organisation of Civil Engineering Students (OrCES) & NSS unit SOE, IT-NU in association with Blind People Association, Vastrapur, Ahmedabad organised Divyang Talent Performance & Tribute and Motivational Talk by Shri Bhupendra Tripathi, Manager, Reserve Bank of India, Ahmedabad. Department of Chemical Engineering under the Aegis of the Chemical Engineering Students Association and the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, Students Chapter, Nirma University, organised a donation drive of old clothes, books and toys for the needy children in the nearby areas. The Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering Department, Institute of Technology, Nirma University organised a chess tournament on the occasion of Foundation Day for the students and faculty members of the department.
