Dr Upadhyay received the two We All Are Human (WAAH) Science Laureate Awards (Senior Laureate category- 1st and 2nd runner-up) on January 11, 2023. Ahmedabad-based Vikram A Sarabhai Community Science Centre conferred the awards at a function held at the Mahatma Gandhi Prarthana Mandir, D. N. High School, Anand.
