Development of a Series of Low-cost green solvents for carbon capture and Prediction of their thermo-physical Properties

Objective of the Project:

To reduce the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere by absorbing it in a green solvents

• Screening of environment friendly cations and anions for the synthesis of a series of physical solvents, ionic liquids for carbon dioxide capture.
• Optimizing the reaction conditions of the synthesis process.
• Structure elucidations and purifications of synthesized solvents.
• Carbon dioxide absorption and regeneration studies.
• Experimental determination of Thermophysical Properties.
• Develop a solvent screening model based on the estimated thermophysical properties and thermodynamic factual database.
