Brain Computer Interfacing is a method to interface human brain with computer. Using EMOTIV EPOC kit used for taking EEG waves from brain we can generate desired results. The kit consists of sixteen electrodes the kit is set on the brain in such a way that the brain sensors can be interfaced fully.
Using the electrodes to detect electric signals in the brain which are sent to a computer. The computer then translates these electric signals into data which is used to control a computer or an interface device. The signal received from sensor is processed by microcontroller or adapted using MATLAB tool. The received signal is compared with database and device is controlled at output of system.
The EEG waves are the waves which are produced by wave depending on emotional condition of one. There are types of waves like Alpha, Beta, Delta and Theta. Depending on one’s emotions the waves of several frequencies are generated Considering Interfacing of brain we can do desired task. After interfacing we can do desired task through Arduino Board. The interfacing finds many applications like in Epilepsy disease and many more. The hardest part was interfacing with Arduino board.
There can be tremendous use of the interfacing, through interfacing different applications can be run depending on user requirements.
