Green Guardians clinched the 3rd place, showcasing their innovation and expertise in automation and robotics, at the National Open Automation Challenge 2024, hosted by B&R Automation at Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Technology, Pune. Competing against more than 50 teams from institutions across India
The team, comprising 3rd year B.Tech Electronics and Instrumentation students Aryan Thakar, Priyanshu Lunagariya, Pooja Limbasiya, and Bhavin Tanna, demonstrated a pioneering project under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Sneh Soni. Their project focused on implementing a plastic waste recycling process using cutting-edge tools such as Automation Studio, MapView, and scene viewer.
The challenge required participants to present their solutions to a distinguished jury on 11th July 2024 at Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Technology, Pune. Green Guardians impressed the jury with their innovative approach and received accolades from the audience for their impactful solution aimed at environmental sustainability.
In recognition of their achievement, the team was honoured with a winning trophy and certificates presented by Mr. Jhankar Dutta, the Regional Managing Director – S&E Asia at B&R Automation. This achievement not only highlights the dedication and skill of Nirma University students but also reinforces the institution’s commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in technology.
