About
Dr. Jatinkumar Soni is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, Jammu, since December 2024. He completed his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the Institute of Technology, Nirma University, Ahmedabad, in August 2025. Prior to this, he worked as a Technical Assistant at the National Institute of Technology Delhi (2023–2024) and as a Junior Lab Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. He has also served as an Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at Ganpat University, Mehsana (2018–2022). He received his B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya (BVM) Engineering College in 2016 and his M.E. degree from Lukhdhirji Engineering College (Government), Gujarat, in 2018. His research interests include Power System Optimization, Power System Operation and Control, Optimization Techniques, and Hydro-Thermal Scheduling Problems.
