Meet Parmar is a Full-Time Ph.D. Research Scholar in the Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering Department at Nirma University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He received his Bachelor of Technology from Nirma University, Ahmedabad, in 2020 and Master of Technology in Robotics from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Tamil- Nadu, in 2022.
His research interests lie at the intersection of Medical Robotics, Mining Robotics, and Machine Learning. He is particularly focused on the development of intelligent robotic systems that can operate in complex, unstructured environments, such as underground mining sites or remote medical scenarios where teleoperation and automation can significantly enhance safety, efficiency, and accessibility. His work seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical advancements in robotics and their practical deployment in real-world scenarios.
Meet Parmar is a recipient of the Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Fellowship, a prestigious doctoral scholarship funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. This fellowship recognizes high-potential researchers in electronics and information technology and supports their contributions to the national research ecosystem.
He has authored and co-authored several research papers in International journals and conferences, contributing to the growing body of knowledge in robotics and machine learning. In recognition of his outstanding presentation skills and innovative research, he was awarded the Best Presenter Award at the IEEE AIRoSIP 2023 conference held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
