Dr Akash Mecwan is working as an Assistant Professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering Department since July 2005. He has an experience of more than 17 years in the field of teaching, research and industry. He obtained his BTech degree in Electronics and Communication
Engineering in 2003 from Nirma Institute of Technology, Gujarat University. He completed his MTech in VLSI Design in 2011 from Nirma University. Dr Mecwan obtained his PhD degree from Nirma University in 2018 in the field of RF VLSI Design. He has published more than 30 research papers in
national and international conferences and journals. He has successfully completed 7 research projects funded by Nirma University and GUJCOST. He has guided more than 15 PG dissertations. Currently he is guiding a Ph. D in the area of RF Microwave Amplifier. He is a life member of ISTE. He has coordinated many workshops in Back End VLSI Design. He has also organized two national level student conferences funded by GUJCOST and IEEE WIE affinity group. He has successfully completed consultancy assignments in the area of Microcontroller and FPGA based systems. His research interest includes FPGA based designs, analog mixed signal VLSI design, RFIC, embedded systems and robotics.
