Anand S Patel is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Technology, Nirma University, Ahmedabad. He has received BE degree in Production Engineering from Saurashtra University in 2000 and MTech in Mechanical (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) from Nirma University in 2016. He has published fours papers in journal/book chapters and presented sixteen papers at international and national conferences.
Anand S Patel have won award for Emerald Literati Award for the Outstanding Paper in the 2022 for an article titled "Critical Review of Literature on Lean Six Sigma Methodology" published in the International Journal of Lean Six Sigma. He is the recipient of ISTE - CVM Award for Best Polytechnic Teacher in Gujarat State - 2012 in recognition of outstanding contribution to the academic community and students. He also received the ISTE Calcutta Convention National Award for Best Paper Presented by Teachers at the Annual Convention of ISTE (Polytechnic) - 2014 as well as the Silver Award for Case Study Presentation. He achieved recognition as a ZED Master Trainer (under Financial Support to MSMEs in ZED Certification Scheme) upon successful completion of training requirements.
He is Associate Member of The Institution of Engineers, a Life member of Indian Society for Quality, Quality Circle Forum of India, Indian Society for Technical Education, Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering and Indian Association of Productivity, Quality & Reliability. His research interest includes Quality Management, Lean Six Sigma, and Sustainable Manufacturing.
