Prof Anant Patel is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering Department. He has completed his ME degree in Water Resources Management from L D College of Engineering, Ahmedabad, with specialization in the Flood modelling and Flood management. He is pursuing his PhD degree from Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat in the field of Flood Forecasting and Early warning system. He has experience of both Industry and Academics. He has worked with Government of Gujarat Undertaking Company Dholera International Airport Company Limited (DIACL), Gandhinagar as Assistant Manager (Civil) for the period of 1 year. He has published papers in International Journals and Conference. He has awarded with the best paper award under the theme of Ground Water Quality Management at HYDRO International Conference held at NIT Patna in December, 2018. He deals with the subjects Water Resources and Irrigation Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Disaster Management, Environmental Studies, Environmental Conservation for Sustainable Development, Fluid Mechanics, and Hazardous Waste Management & Legislation. His areas of research interest are flood modelling and simulation, flood forecasting techniques, rain water harvesting, application of remote sensing and GIS in water resources management and water & waste water quality assessment.
