Arvind Sankhla is currently working as Assistant professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Institute of Technology of Nirma University. He brings in the academic experience of more than 24 years. He has done his B.E. in Production and Industrial Engineering from the University of Rajasthan. He has done M.Tech. in Computer Integrated Manufacturing from Nirma University. He has completed Ph.D. , in the area of Aluminium based Metal Matrix Composite from Nirma University.
He has taught courses like Kinematics, Metrology & Instrumentation, and Production Technology. Prior to joining Institute of Technology, he has also worked with GTU affiliated college and there he has taught subjects like Manufacturing Processes -I & II, Dynamics of Machines and CAM. At postgraduate level, he has taught production and operations management, metal forming. He was also associated with Insitute of Diploma Studies (IDS)under Nirma University for 15 years. At IDS he Successfully completed a special employee training program for the employees of Ray-Chem RPG limited.
His areas of interest are manufacturing processes, production engineering, Metrology, and low-cost automation.
