Dr. Balkrushna A. Shah is working as Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department since December 2008. He has experience of more than 19 years in the field of teaching and research. He obtained BE degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sardar Patel University in 2002 and ME degree in Mechanical (Cryogenic) from Gujarat University in 2004. Prof. Shah has completed his PhD from Nirma University in the area of Boiling Heat Transfer. He has presented papers in more than 22 national and international conferences in the area of refrigeration and air conditioning, renewable energy, computational fluid dynamics, etc. He has successfully completed one research project as PI funded by ASHRAE (American Society of Heating Refrigerating Air conditioning) in the area of HVAC. He is working as SBA(Student Branch Advisor) of the Nirma University ASHRAE Student Branch since 2015 and has received the prestigious "SBA of the year 2018" international award from ASHRAE for his outstanding service and leadership in fostering the growth and strength of Nirma University Student Branch. He has guided more than 20 PG dissertations. Recently, a Certificate of Achievement 2021 was awarded to Prof. B. A. Shah for having guided the Best M.Tech Thesis in Mechanical Engineering (II prize) titled "Design of Vacuum Frying System" submitted by Modi Jaimin Satishkumar (19MMET05) for the ISTE GSFC National Award. His research interest includes Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning, Boiling Heat Transfer, Renewable Energy Sources and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
