Dr D B Shah is working as Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department since July 2009. He obtained BE degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2007 from Gujarat University and MTech degree in CAD/CAM in 2009 from Nirma University. He obtained PhD degree from Nirma University in 2020. Dr Shah has published more than 30 research papers in international journals and presented/published more than 50 papers in international conferences/proceedings/book chapters. He also has one product patent and 12 design registrations to his credit. He is actively involved in providing consultancy services to many industries. He has guided more than 35 PG dissertations. He is a reviewer of international journals in the field of Processing of Composites, Machine Design, Tribology, etc. Dr Shah has successfully completed one major and three minor research projects funded by Nirma University and another research project funded by Bureau of Indian Standards. He is the faculty advisor of SAE Nirma Collegiate Club since 2016. His research interest includes the Processing of Composite Materials, Finite Element Analysis, Additive Manufacturing, and Design and Dynamics.
