About
Prof. Dhaval Patel has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department since July 2009. He has over 15 years of experience in teaching and research. He earned his BE degree in Mechanical Engineering from Gujarat University in 2007 and his MTech degree with a specialization in Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) from Nirma University in 2009. He completed his PhD in 2024. He has numerous research publications in both international and national journals, as well as in conference proceedings. He has successfully completed three minor research projects in the area of machinery health monitoring, funded by Nirma University, and one major research project in the design of textile converting machinery, funded by Kusters Calico Pvt. Ltd. He was awarded a gold medal for the Best Scholastic Performance in the MTech (CAD/CAM) program in 2009. He has supervised over 13 postgraduate dissertations. Additionally, he has been a team member in several industrial consultancy assignments undertaken by the Department, focusing on design and dynamics. His research interests include Finite Element Analysis and Condition Monitoring of Machines.
