Dr Gayatri Pany has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics since July, 2024. She completed her PhD in Mathematics from Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar in the area of applied functional analysis. She has postdoctoral research experience from National Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhubaneswar, Singapore University of Technology and Design and University of Central Florida. She was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Florida Institute of Technology, Florida, USA. Her research interest lies in the areas of variational inequalities, complementarity problems, mathematical programming and neural networks. Till date she has nine research publications. in reputed international SCI/SCIE journals. Dr. Pany has presented her research work in national and international conferences, including a prestigious international conference at the "Sixth International Conference on Continuous Optimization (ICCOPT 2019)" held at Technical University (TU), Berlin, Germany (Financially supported by ICCOPT, Germany). She has also obtained AMS Graduate Student Travel Grant from American Mathematical Society as well as travel grant from Science and Engineering Research Board, India to attend AMS special session on Advance Mathematical Programming held at Georgia, Atlanta, USA. Dr Pany's current research involves development of AI based methods for solving optimization problems involving the framework of variational inequality and she is interested for collaboration in the related areas.
