About
Prof Harsh K Kapadia is working as an Assistant Professor in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering Department. He has more than 11 years of teaching and research experience. He has completed his PhD in Instrumentation and Control Engineering on the topic "Advanced imaging techniques for concrete damage characterization" from Nirma University in August 2023. He has obtained MTech in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Dharmsinh Desai University, Nadiad in 2012. He has published more than 25 research articles in national/international journals and conferences. He has guided 7 post graduate students and several graduate students for their project work. He has obtained a patent grant along with other professor of the institute. He has also filed two patents with fellow professor and students. He is currently working as a Co-Principal Investigator for an externally funded research project titled "Design and Development of Single Axis Solar Tracking System" funded by Kosol Energie Pvt Ltd. He has successfully carried out four minor research projects funded by Nirma University. He has mentored Team Con-Sol-E for Mitsubishi Electric Cup ( A national level automation competition for students) which won the silver cup consecutively three times in a row (2017,2018 and 2019) and gold cup in 2020. He has also mentored students in ROBOFEST2.0 and ROBOFEST3.0 organized by GUJCOST, Gujarat. His research areas include Image Processing, Machine Vision, Embedded system and Sensors .
