About

  • Dr. Himanshu Soni completed his graduation in field of Electronics & communication Engineering and started his academic career in the year 1997. He grew professionally in a span of 27 years. Currently he is working as a Director School of technology at the Nirma university. He did his BE from the BVM Engineering College in the year 1997 and joined Master’s program at BITS, Pilani in the year 2001. Dr Soni completed Master’s degree with CGPA of 9.90 by securing first rank among the all PG courses. As a part of practice school at master’s program, he completed his project at MOTOROLA, Bangalore in the year 2003. He Joined PhD at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) in the year 2004 and completed his research in domain of multiuser Ultrawideband (UWB) communication in 2009. During his research he has published research papers in various IEEE conferences and journals. He has visited USA, Poland, Greece and Italy for presenting his research work and attending various training programs. In the year 2011 he attended Indo-Japan global partnership summit at Tokyo -Japan for strategic partnership with Japanese universities and industries. He has mobilized fund of more than 2.5 Cr in the form of various grants and research projects at the institute. In July 2021, Received grant of 1.15 Cr from All India council of Technical Education (AICTE) for AICTE- Idea Lab. Dr. Soni has published more than 60 research papers in various National and International Journals and conferences. He has worked as TPC member, Editorial Board member and as a member of advisory councils of various scholastic journals, conferences and symposia. An inspiring academician and mentor of Research he guided 7 PhD thesis & currently guiding one Scholars for PhD. He was awarded with Hari Ohm Ashram Prerit “Research Endowment Prize for year 2009-10” for his research work published in EUSIPCO, Poland. He is a member of various committees of different Universities, member of Board of studies and member to various Professional Organization. His current research interests include UWB, IoT
