Dr Hiren Prajapati is working as Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department. He obtained a BE degree in Mechanical Engineering from Gujarat University in 2010 and an ME degree with a specialization in CAD/CAM from Gujarat Technological University in 2012. Dr Prajapati obtained his PhD from Nirma University in Magnetorheological fluids in 2023. He has guided 3 MTech dissertations and more than 20 BTech projects. He has successfully executed two minor research projects funded by Nirma University. He has published 04 research articles in Scopus-indexed international journals, more than 15 research papers in international conferences and one research paper at a national conference. Dr Prajapati's research also has commercial value. He has published two Indian process patents. He has received some best oral paper presentation awards at international conferences organized by NIT, Patna and Sanjeevan Engineering & Technology Institute, Panhala. Dr Prajapati is the reviewer of international referred journals in the area of Magnetic fluids and systems. His area of research includes Magnetorheological Fluids and MR systems, Machine Design and Vibration Control.
Not only teaching and research but he is also active in sports. Considering his inclination toward sports, Dr Prajapati was appointed as Sports Coordinator of the Institute of Technology in Sept 2022. Under his mentor-ship, students performed well in the inter-university tournaments and won the various tournaments at IIM-A, PDEU, GNLU, BITS Goa etc.
