About
Dr. Mahesh Patel is working as Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Institute of Technology, Nirma University, Ahmedabad. Dr. Patel graduated from Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Gujarat. He received his M. Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering with the specialization in Power Apparatus and Systems (PAS) and the Ph. D. degree in the area of advanced electrical machines for wind power applications from the Institute of Technology, Nirma University in 2008 and 2019 respectively. His research area includes Analysis of Electrical Machines, Design of Advanced Electrical Machines, low frequency static and transient electromagnetic Finite Element Analysis. He has guided more than 50 projects at under graduate level and 9 projects at post graduate level. He has contributed in 11 technical publications in reputed national and international conferences as well as technical journals. He has also reviewed various research papers of reputed conferences and journals. He has coordinated various short term training programs (STTPs) and seminars at institute level. He is also members of various professional bodies i.e., IEEE, ISTE, IETE, ACEE, IACSIT, and IAENG.
