About
Dr. Naman Kantesaria joined Nirma University as an Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering Department in 2022. He obtained BE degree in Civil Engineering from LD College of Engineering, Ahmedabad, in 2012. He then got the prestigious Start-Early PhD Fellowship from IIT Gandhinagar in 2016. He obtained a PhD degree in 2021 from IIT Gandhinagar in Geotechnical Engineering specialization. Dr. Kantesaria then continued his research as a post-doctoral fellow at IIT Gandhinagar prior to joining the University of Nottingham, UK as a Research Fellow. He worked on two European Union funded projects at the Nottingham Centre for Geomechanics, UK. His expertise includes experimental soil mechanics, soil dynamics, centrifuge modelling, unsaturated soils, and sustainable ground improvement using geosynthetics and natural fibres. To date, Dr. Kantesaria has published 31 research papers across reputable international journals, book chapters, and both international and national conference proceedings. He is currently leading funded projects on sustainable geotextiles and climate-adaptive pavement systems funded by National Technical Textile Mission, Government of India and Climate Change Department, Government of Gujarat.
