Dr Nilesh D Ghetiya is working as Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department since 2015. He obtained BE degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sardar Patel University in 2000 and MTech in Manufacturing Engineering from IIT Bombay in 2007. Dr Ghetiya obtained PhD in the area of friction stir welding from Nirma University in 2016. He has experience of over 22 years in teaching and research. He has published more than 15 research papers in the area of friction stir welding, composite manufacturing and microwave processing of material in international journals and presented/published more than 35 papers in international conferences/proceedings. He has successfully completed a DST sponsored project in the area of friction stir welding. He is also involved in consultancy work for industries. Dr Ghetiya has guided more than 35 PG dissertations and is presently guiding two PhD students. He is also a reviewer of international peer reviewed journals. His area of interest include Modelling and Analysis of Manufacturing Processes, Welding, Casting, and Machining.
