About
Dr. Nishtha Srivastava is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Nirma University, Ahmedabad. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, an Institute of National Importance recognized by the Government of India. She also holds an M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Nirma University, Ahmedabad, and a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Gujarat Technological University. With over seven years of combined teaching and research experience, Dr. Srivastava brings a unique blend of academic expertise and industrial experience to the classroom. Her research interests encompass Explainable Artificial Intelligence, Trustworthy AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Causal Machine Learning, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Healthcare AI, and Spatio-Temporal Machine Learning. Her doctoral research focuses on developing interpretable, reliable, and causally informed machine learning models for intelligent transportation systems, with applications spanning traffic safety analysis, travel time prediction, and maritime transportation analytics. Dr. Srivastava has authored SCI/SCIE-indexed journal articles, ACM conference papers, and Scopus-indexed book chapters, with publications appearing in prestigious venues including IEEE Transactions. She also serves as a reviewer for leading SCIE-indexed journals, including Transportation (Springer), Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio), and Cluster Computing (Springer).
