About
Ms. Hetal Panchal has been serving as an Assistant Professor (Contractual) in the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department at the Institute of Technology, Nirma University, Ahmedabad, since June 2026. She received her B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Institute of Technology, Nirma University, Ahmedabad, in 2009, and her M.E. degree in Wireless Communication Technology from Sakalchand Patel College of Engineering, Visnagar, in 2014. She is pursuing her Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Institute of Technology, Nirma University. Her doctoral research focused on the development of energy-efficient clustering and routing protocols for Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs), with an emphasis on fuzzy logic, optimization techniques, and secure communication.
She began her professional career with Alcatel-Lucent Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad, in 2010. She served as a Lecturer in the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department at Vedvyas Polytechnic, Himatnagar, from 2011 to 2014, as an Assistant Professor in the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department at Tatva Institute of Technological Studies, Modasa, from 2014 to 2015, and as an Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at Apollo Institute of Engineering and Technology, Ahmedabad, from 2015 to 2020.
She has more than 15 years of combined experience in teaching and industry. Her research interests include Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks, Wireless Communication, Wireless Sensor Networks, Energy-Efficient Routing, Clustering Algorithms, Fuzzy Logic, Secure Communication Protocols, and Internet of Underwater Things (IoUT). She has authored several research articles in reputed international journals and conferences in the field of wireless sensor networks and underwater communication systems.
