Prof P N Kapil is working as Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering Department since June 2009. He completed B.E degree in Electrical Engineering from North Gujarat University, Patan in May 2007 and M.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Apparatus and Systems from Nirma University in May 2009. He is pursuing PhD degree from Electrical Engineering Department, School of Emergy and Technology, Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Gandhinagar. He has published papers in various national / international journals and conferences as well as guided various undergraduate and post graduate dissertation projects. Prof P N Kapil has keen interest in guiding students in various project competitions as well as engaging students in student-student mentorship activities through project based learning. He is felicitated with Dronacharya award by BAJA SAE INDIA 2018 for his commendable role as faculty advisor to e-BAJA team. The M.Tech thesis titled "Simulation, Analysis & Fabrication of Bi-directional Converter for Vehicle to Grid Interface" under his guidance has been awarded with The ISTE L&T National Award for Best M.Tech. Thesis in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering 2022. Professionally Prof P N Kapil is contributing as BoS member of Electrical Engineering department at Nirma University, department co-ordinator of IDEA labs and expert panel member for training workshops at GERMI, Gandhinagar. His area of interest is in the domain of electric vehicles, power electronics, electrical machines and drives. He is member of the team offering training and cosultancy to working professionals and engineers of Tata Motors Limited and Hitachi Hi-Rel Power Electronics Pvt. Ltd, Sanand. He has also contributed as reviewer for various conferences and peer-reviewed journals. He is a life member of ISTE and professional member of SAE INDIA.
