Drashti Ajaybhai Patel is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Technology, Nirma University. She holds an M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering from Nirma University and a B.E. in Computer Engineering. Her areas of academic and research interest include Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models, Spatial Computing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), OCR, and database-driven intelligent systems. She has hands-on research and development experience in AI-powered conversational systems, domain-specific chatbots, geospatial data analytics, unstructured document processing, and intelligent information retrieval. During her research internship at BISAG-N, she worked on integrating NLP, spatial GIS, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, OCR, and LLM-based approaches to develop an AI-powered conversational system for mining-related queries. She is passionate about teaching emerging technologies and guiding students in developing practical, innovative, and research-oriented solutions to real-world challenges.
