Prof. Purvesh Raval is working as an Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering Department since 2023. He has completed Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Charotar Institute of Technology, Changa affiliated with Gujarat Technological University. He obtained a Master's Degree with a specialization in Construction Engineering and Management from Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya (BVM) Engineering College affiliated with Gujarat Technological University. Prior joining to Nirma University, he worked as an assistant professor with the Apollo Institute of Engineering and Technology, Ahmedabad. His research paper titled "Performance Evaluation of Control Variables for the Development of Blockchain Model for Construction Projects" received the best paper award at an international conference on "Innovations in Smart and Sustainable Infrastructure (ISSI-2022)" held at Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar. He has organized and attended various short-term training programs and seminars during his research. Apart, he has guided a number of students' projects at the UG level. Prof. Purvesh is also a member of prestigious organizations like The Institution of Engineers (India) and The Gujarat Institute of Civil Engineers & Architects. His areas of research interest are Building Information Modeling, construction management, and digital technologies for the built environment.
