Rajat Rathod is a Nuclear and Instrumentation Engineer with expertise in instrumentation and control, robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence for nuclear applications. He holds a Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering and is actively engaged in research on intelligent robotic systems for nuclear reactor maintenance and inspection. His work focuses on autonomous manipulation, AI-driven control, laser-based remote maintenance, digital twins, predictive maintenance, and advanced control strategies to improve the safety, reliability, and efficiency of nuclear power plants. His research also encompasses Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), Microreactors(MRs), and the integration of Industry 4.0 technologies into nuclear engineering. Rajat has contributed to the development of robotic systems for maintenance operations in Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs). His professional interests include advanced nuclear technologies, intelligent automation, technology innovation, and sustainable nuclear energy systems, with a commitment to developing practical engineering solutions for next-generation nuclear facilities.
