Dr S V Jain is working as Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department since February 2015. He has experience of more than 22 years in the field of teaching and research and industrial experience of 1 year. He obtained his BE degree in Mechanical Engineering from Gujarat University in 2000 and MTech degree in Alternate Hydraulic Energy Systems in 2008 from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee. Dr Jain obtained his PhD degree from Nirma University in 2016 in the area of Hydraulic Machines. He has published/presented more than 60 research papers in the area of small hydropower, renewable energy systems, heat exchangers, etc. in international and national journals/conferences with h-index of 10 and i-10 index of 10. He has successfully executed two research projects as Co-PI funded by DST and GUJCOST in the area of Biomass Gasification and Small Hydropower. He has also published one Indian patent. He has guided more than 40 PG dissertations and is presently guiding 3 PhD students. He was conferred with the ?Best Research Scientist Award? in 2017 for his overall contribution in research activities by the Institute of Technology, Nirma University. Dr Jain is a reviewer of more than 20 international journals in the field of Energy, Renewable Energy, Heat and Mass Transfer etc. published by Elsevier, ASCE, Taylor & Francis, etc. He is actively involved in consultancy, research, and testing in the area of Mechanical Engineering. His research interest include Hydraulic Machines, Small Hydropower, Renewable Energy Systems, etc.
