Dr. S C Vora is working as Professor and Head at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Institute of Technology, Nirma University. Dr. Vora graduated in Electrical Engineering from Saurashtra University, Gujarat. He received his ME degree and PhD degree in Electrical Engineering (High Voltage Engineering) from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore in 2004 and 2009 respectively. He served as coordinator and Dy. Director at Directorate of Research and Innovations, Nirma University (during 2014 - 2020). He also held the portfolio of PG coordinator of MTech programme in Electrical Engineering (viz. Electrical Power Systems). He is recipient of ISTE - Charutar Vidya Mandal (CVM), Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat Award for the "Best Engineering College Teacher in Gujarat State" for the year 2020.
Dr. S C Vora has published number of International / National journal and conference research papers. He has guided 03 PhD research scholars, 42 master's dissertations and guiding 03 research scholars towards their doctoral degree.
He has been invited by reputed institutes, industries to conduct the workshops / lecture series and consultancy services. He is on the board of leading Universities of Gujarat and reviewer of prestigious journals of IEEE, Elsevier and Wiley.
His areas of interests are Power System State Estimation, Integration of Renewable Sources in Power System, advanced Electrical Machines, High Voltage Engineering and Condition Monitoring of Electrical Apparatus.
He is Senior Member (IEEE) and Life member of ISTE, Solar Energy Society of India (SESI), New Delhi and Society of Power Engineers.
