Dr Shashikant J Joshi is working as Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department since 2018. He has work experience of more than 20 years in the field of teaching and research. He has completed MTech degree from MANIT Bhopal and PhD degree from RGPV Bhopal. He has published several papers in international journals and conferences. He has completed ISRO funded research project titled "Process Development for minimization of springback and enhancement of profile accuracy of CFRP reflectors". Dr Joshi is receipient of the ISTE Best Engineering College Teacher for Gujarat State award for the year 2006. He is also a receipient of "ISTE-GSFC National Award for guiding Best MTech Thesis in Mechanical Engineering". He has offered consultancy to industries in the area of design modification of textile machinery components, FEA of valves for nuclear applications, etc. He has also coordinated many industry customized training programmes. He has guided 40 M Tech dissertations and is presently guiding two PhD student. His areas of interest include Fracture Mechanics, Composite Materials and Functionally Graded Materials.
