About
Shefali Waldekar joined Nirma University in June 2024. She obtained her PhD from IIT Kharagpur in 2020. She holds a BE degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Nagpur University (2005) and an MTech degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur (2008). With over eight years of teaching experience, she has served at Manipal Institute of Technology Manipal (2008–2012) and GITAM School of Technology Bangalore (2021–2024).
Her research interests centre around signal processing, particularly focusing on audio signals, alongside machine learning. She has authored five papers in international journals and five papers at international conferences. Additionally, she serves as a co-investigator in an ongoing DIDO-ARDB-funded project.
