Dr Shibu G. Pillai is working as Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering Department, School of Engineering, Institute of Technology. He has an experience of more than 18 years in the fields of teaching and research. He obtained his BSc and MSc degree in Chemistry and Organic Chemistry in the year 1997 and 1999, respectively from St. Xavier's College, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. Dr Pillai obtained his PhD from Gujarat University in the year 2005. Dr Pillai has published more than 25 research papers in reputed international journals in domains like supramolecular chemistry, extraction, metal complexation, heterocycles, solar cell. He has also contributed more than 60 research papers in international and national conferences. The research contribution of Dr Pillai can be quantified by the h-index of 13 and i-10 index of 14. He is the reviewer of international refereed journals in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology, applied science, environmental engineering and management etc. Dr Pillai published 10 books on Engineering Chemistry and Applied Chemistry and also 10 book chapters published by publication houses of national and international repute. He is a life fellow of Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Indian Council of Chemists (ICC) and Association of Chemistry Teacher (ACT) and The Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA). He is actively involved in consultancy, research, and testing in the areas of chemical and allied fields. His research interests include supramolecular chemistry, material science, nanotechnology, heterocyclic chemistry, polymer, solar cell, etc. Dr Pillai had organised various workshop, national and international conferences.
