About
Dr. Soumesh Chatterjee is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Institute of Technology, Nirma University. He has been awarded bachelors and masters of technology degrees from West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) and National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala in 2010 and 2013 respectively. He has obtained the PhD degree from NIT Agartala in May 2022. He has published several journals and conferences with various reputed publishers such as IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, etc. He has been elected as vice-chair IEEE NIT Agartala Student Branch in 2019. He has become a Member of IEEE in the year 2020. He is also a member of IEEE Young Professionals, Institution of Engineers (India), Institute of Scholars (InSc), International Association of Engineers (IAENG), International Association of Academicians (IAASSE), and life member of Indian Society For Technical Education (ISTE). He is a reviewer of reputed publishers such as IEEE, John Wiley & sons, Springer, etc. He is having three years of teaching experience. He has delivered several lectures pertaining to his research field. His current research area includes applications of synchrophasor measurements, microgrid protection, machine learning (ML) techniques for power system protection and control.
