About
Dr Sunil Raiyani is serving as an Assistant Professor in Department of Civil Engineering at Nirma University since 2015. He has received BE degree in Civil Engineering from BVM Engineering College, Vallabh Vidyanagar and MTech degree in Structural Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. He has obtained PhD degree from Nirma University. Dr Raiyani has served as a faculty member in Department of Civil Engineering at IIIT Nuzvid for nearly five years prior to joining the Nirma University. During his tenure at IIIT Nuzvid, he actively contributed to research and consultancy projects, including work with Central Public Works Department, Government of India. Dr Raiyani has guided numerous undergraduate and postgraduate student projects. He has published several research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences. He is a life member of several professional bodies including ISTE, IE(I) and ISES. His research interest includes shear and torsional design, finite element modelling and retrofitting of structural elements.
