Dr. Tarjni Vyas is a academician and researcher with over 14 years of impactful teaching experience. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department, School of Technology, Nirma University. she is dedicated to advancing education and research in the ever-evolving domain of computer science.
Dr. Vyas earned her Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Engineering from Gujarat University in 2009 and her Master of Technology (MTech) in Computer Engineering from Dharamsingh Desai University (DDU), Nadiad, in 2011. She further pursued her PhD in Computer Engineering at Charotar University of Science and Technology, Changa, specializing in Natural Language Processing.
Her academic contributions include high-quality publications indexed in reputed databases such as SCI, SCIE, and Scopus, reflecting her dedication to impactful and rigorous research. Dr. Vyas has successfully completed multiple research projects, including:
"Spectral Discrimination and Separability Analysis of Crops and Weeds using Deep Learning Techniques", funded by SAC-ISRO with an approximate funding of ₹18 lakhs as Principal Investigator.
"Land-Cover Classification of Polarimetric SAR Image/Data for Agricultural and Urban Region", funded by SAC-ISRO with an approximate funding of ₹21 lakhs as Co-PI.
"Smart Travelling Bag", funded by Nirma University with an approximate funding of ₹83,000, as Co-PI resulting in a process patent.
She is currently involved as Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) in several ongoing research projects:
"Automatic Detection and Analysis of Lunar Surface Mineralogy", ISRO-HQ funded, ₹21.45 lakhs.
"Flood Disaster Mitigation using NavIC", SAC-ISRO funded, ₹15 lakhs.
"AI/ML-Based Mapping of Planetary Morphology", ISRO-HQ funded, ₹14 lakhs.
"IoT Application on Work-Life Balance", Nirma University funded, ₹98,000.
