Abstract: Steel fibers are used in concrete as fibres. This project aims to establish mix design for steel fibre reinforced alkali activated concrete. The alkali activation will be done at ambient curing. Variation will be done by using different source materials like fly ash and slag cured at ambient curing. Various mechanical properties like compressive strength, tensile strength, flexural strength and modulus of elasticity will be tested. Beside this, bond test, abrasion resistance and impact test will be carried out to determine its resistance and will be compared with concrete without fibers. This project aims to improve flexural and crack propagation in concrete which will help in pavement design.
