Abstract The goal of this project to create an autonomous centralized system to manage cashless transactions for paid services across various sections of the university. This project involves two components – the front-end part (for hardware side interfacing) and the back-end part (for effectively handling the database and authentication related activities).
The proposed project is a stepping stone towards moving from a cash-based campus to cashless campus for regular transactions for various paid services across the campus. We dream of building a system that tracks all the transactions done by any student or employee (other stake holders and visitors included) within the campus. The paid services include canteen, student section, library and transport facility. The system enables the management with an efficient tool for quick report generation.
It envisages to eliminate the tedious “give and take” of coupons and receipts due to the ongoing cash transactions; thereby, developing a seamlessly easier, cleaner and greener paperless system
The developed system would enable the users (students / faculty members / management / service providers / visitors and others) to recharge their accounts through a Point of Sale (PoS) or through online transaction. Then after, they will be required to pay for the availed services using just a scan of the ID card
When implemented, the system will handle authentication through a passcode. Any user without an ID can be handled by guest account handled by trained personnel.
