Abstract: The objective of the project is to develop a portable thermal battery using Phase Change Material (PCM). PCMs have a property of absorbing and releasing heat at a constant temperature and the ability to store large amounts of latent heat. We are leveraging this property of PCMs to capture waste heat generated from electronics and in cooking. This captured waste heat will serve as a portable heat source which can further used for wide variety of applications.
