Since its inception the Institute of Technology, Nirma University, is building and shaping the future of its students. The institute takes immense pride in the success of its alumni. Recently, the alumni of the institute of Technology got selected in top IIMs of the country where they would be pursuing their higher studies.

Mr Naman Kothari, an alumnus of the Mechanical Engineering Department, scored 99.97 percentile in CAT 2022 and secured admission to the prestigious IIM Ahmedabad. He says, ‘It was my second attempt. I scored 96.71 percentile in CAT 2021, and at that time, I was rejected by every B-School I applied to. However, this time it seems like a fairytale ending as I received an offer from IIM Ahmedabad as well other top B-Schools like IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Indore, XLRI Jamshedpur, SJMSOM-IIT Bombay, New IIMs, Baby IIMs, SIBM Pune, MDI Gurgaon. CAT demands consistency and discipline, and I made sure to adhere to these principles. I used to give mock exams every other day and solved 1,000+ sets for the DILR section. Verbal section was my weakest and hence that demanded extra practice, managing time was crucial for me as I was working and studying simultaneously. I always followed a routine. The journey from CAT to IIM is like a camel’s hump: Ups and downs. Make sure not to be complacent during ups and also make sure to work extra hard to rise out of the downs. Always discuss your problems with your mentor. Keep yourself calm and composed on the D-Day and BELL the CAT!!!’

Mr Kunj Dholiya, an alumnus of the Mechanical Engineering Department, scored 99.72 percentile in CAT 2022 and would be joining IIM Lucknow. He says ‘It had been two years since I started preparing. As the number of years were increasing, so did the stakes on losing the other opportunities. Also, I was doing well in my job. The anxious mind repeatedly thought what if I fail again better to take promotion at job. Anyway, with the fear grappling my spine, I took the examination. And the result? 99.72 percentile with calls from all IIMs Except A & K.’
He further says, ‘Fast forward to April 2023, I cleared my interview and joined IIM L, with that I have also cleared FMS, IIM Indore, MDI, All baby IIMs. Considering my profile Lucknow was best suitable for me. The Journey was full with Ups and Downs but at the end it worked for me, making a choice to get work experience instead of joining IIM Shillong in 2021 had paid off. It was the biggest plus for me in my interviews also it has broadened my perspective about industry which will help me get the best out of my MBA.’

Mr. Anurag Prasad, an alumnus of the Mechanical Engineering Department, scored 96.73 percentile in CAT 2022 and would be joining IIM Lucknow. He says ‘I had the amazing oppurtunity to work in Tata Motors, Sanand plant through Nirma University placement in 2021. Working in Operations quality department there, helped me grasp various management concepts and also developed in me a zeal for learning more. Hence forth I prepared for CAT 2022, while pursuing my job, for 6 months with immense help from my coaching institute and from my Tata Motors team. I am very pleased to get admit into my aspired B-school. I deeply value the teachings of Nirma University, for helping me develop technical & interpersonal skills and building a strong foundation for my future endeavors. ”

Mr Karnav Sagathiya, an alumnus of the Mechanical Engineering Department, scored 96.11 percentile in CAT 2022 and would be joining IIM Calcutta. He says, ‘I started preparing for the CAT in the month of May with the dream of getting into the top three IIMs of the country. Managing time was important as I was working and studying. My day started early which gave me time to complete my daily targets. Finally, all my hard work paid off and I got an offer from IIM Calcutta along with other premium institutes like IIM Kozhikode, IIM Indore, NITIE Mumbai, IIT Bombay and a few new IIMs. I believe that any day, any exam, if you want to ace it, there is only one way; show immense “Consistency” & “Discipline”. Be stubborn towards what you want and never settle for anything less.’
