NITAA Event

24th AGM and Annual get-together of NITAA was held on 6 th January 2024 at Nirma University campus. The meet was presided by Dr. R. N. Patel (Director, SOE, IT-NU).

The important activities conducted during the meet are as under:

1. The event began with the registration from 5.00 pm. Annual General Meeting was started in A-101 auditorium @ 6.00 pm. Dr. Sanjay Jain, Secretary, NITAA welcomed alumni and faculty members for the program.
2. Dr. Sanjay Jain presented the Annual report of the Association for the year 2023 which highlighted the alumni activities carried out throughout the year across different departments like: Alumni expert lectures, workshops and seminars by alumnus, visit to alumni industries, role of alumni in academics etc. He further requested the alumni to join AlmaConnect and NITAA Facebook page so as to increase alumni reach to a larger extent.
3. Prof Tejas Raval, Treasurer, NITAA presented the accounts of the financial year 2022-23. The financial statements were approved by the members present in AGM. The members also approved the Auditor for the audit of NITAA accounts.
4. Dr Sanjay Jain discussed about the facilities in AlmaConnect, our Alumni Connect portal and also urged to encourage more and more alumni for registrations on Alma Connect.. He also discussed about the magazine SETU in which articles by alumni are published.
5. Dr. R. N. Patel, President, NITAA, addressed the gathering and briefed about various activities and achievements of the Institute and plans for the Silver Jubilee Celebrations for 1999 batch. He has suggested to have more events related to start-ups, more alumni meets at Noida, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Pune. He also suggested to arrange more meets abroad in an online mode.
6. He also motivated the alumni members to provide valuable suggestions / feedback / inputs to build strong alumni bonds. He further informed the gathering regarding successful NBA accreditations of various departments and NAAC accreditation with A+ grade. He has also given the information about the facility with Incubation centre – SSIP at Nirma University.
7. Alumni members who attended AGM gave inputs and feedbacks for organizing Alumni related activities.
8. After AGM, following Alumni members were felicitated for their excellent contribution to profession/society by NITAA.

9. The Alumni Registrations were carried out in the Lawn between A & B blocks by the respective department coordinators/students from 5.00 pm – 7.00 pm.
10. Various events were conducted at the A and B lawn between 6:15 pm – 9:00 pm with some fun activities for the children of alumni.
11. Alumni members along with their families enjoyed the Fun Activities followed by the dinner from 8 pm onwards.
12. NITAA Annual meet was attended by more than 800 members which includes around 600 alumni (with family members), 110 faculty and staff members and 35 student volunteers.

Overall, the event was a fun-filled gathering with many ideas to conduct a more enjoyable and joyous gathering next time.
