Civil Engineering Department and Organization of Civil Engineering Students, School of Engineering, in association with Students Welfare Board, Nirma University has organized “Road Safety Awareness Programme” on February 2019 under the initiative of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways’ 30th National Road Safety Week which is observed from 4th – 10th February 2019. The theme of this year is, “Sadak Suraksha- Jeevan Raksha”.
This programme was an expert lecture by Shri Sameer Raval, Executive Engineer, Roads & Building Department, Gujarat along with Poster presentation, showcasing traffic management and road safety. In order to check the awareness of the students regarding rules and regulations of traffic and transport, traffic signs and signals, an online test was also been conducted. Approximately 300 students participated in the above-said event along with the 23 Faculty members of the civil engineering department.
