ISTE faculty chapter, Institute of Technology, Nirma University organized an expert session on “Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR): Life Saving Skill” on 20/04/2024. The expert session aimed to educate participants about CPR techniques to enhance their ability to respond effectively to medical emergencies, particularly cardiac arrest situations. Dr. Anish Joshi, MD Anaesthesiology (critical care expert) and Dr. Parul Gaddhe, MD Anaesthesiology (critical care expert) delivered the session. The seminar began with an overview of CPR, its importance in saving lives during cardiac emergencies, and the key steps involved in performing CPR correctly. Participants were given hands-on training in CPR techniques using CPR manikins. They practiced chest compressions, the correct hand placement etc for effective CPR. This expert session provided participants with valuable knowledge and practical experience in responding to medical emergencies effectively.
