The UG Students’ Research Cell, Institute of Technology, Nirma University and IEEE Student Branch, Nirma University collaboratively organised “UG Student’s Research Symposium” and workshop on “No Code Digital Product Design”. The workshop was sponsored by IEEE Young Professionals Affinity Group, R 10. In all 182 participants showed up zealously for the events.
The events were inaugurated in the presence of Dr Ajay Chourasia, Chief Scientist at CBRI, Roorkee as the Chief Guest and Mr. Aditya Pati, founder of Era of No Code as the Guest of Honour. During the keynote address Dr Ajay emphasized upon interdisciplinary and intradisciplinary research. He emphasized on tech fasting and three w’s i.e. What? When? and Why? He suggested students to take up internship, discuss and check how the mundane work can be solved. He highlighted that students can develop tools to avoid accidents at construction sites by understanding labourer psychology and identify their fatigue levels. Mr Aditya talked about design of digital products using freely available tools and how they reduce the time to prototype, design and test a digital product.
The No code digital product design workshop focussed on building skills for the ever-evolving tech landscape. Mr. Aditya Pati guided the participants through the process of learning a high-level no code tool, Bubble. The impactful workshop empowered participants to transform their ideas into tangible reality without coding.
The presentation at Student Research Symposium featured 80 research works as posters and papers by undergraduate students of IT, NU, reflecting Nirma University’s persistent efforts to inculcate a research mindset in students and to work towards societal benefits.
The event was a great success with competency development and explorative learning at its core.
