The minor research project titled “Agriculture Support System using Wireless Sensor Networks”, funded by Nirma University with ₹1,00,000, aimed to develop a cost-effective solution for precision agriculture. A wireless sensor network was designed using Zigbee-based sensor nodes to monitor soil moisture, temperature, and humidity, with real-time data transmission to a central unit. Supporting software enabled data visualization, logging, and basic analysis through a user-friendly interface on mobile and on a computer. The integrated system was successfully tested, demonstrating reliable performance for field monitoring. The project established a functional prototype and laid the foundation for future advancements in automated and data-driven agricultural systems.
